Cristina's Reading & Writing Tutoring Services
About
I help my students succeed by building their confidence in the skills they already have and adding to their abilities by what they would like to accomplish.
I get to help others see the brilliance that already exists in themself. It is always my goal to support the students I have, never to talk over them or remove their voice from the skills they already have.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Reading Students: First I will get to know the student a little so that we are comfortable with one another, playing getting to know you games/;activites, etc. Secondly, I will administer an assessment to figure out what the student already knows and where we need to begin to get them to the proper level for their grade/age.
Writing Students: First, I would like to know the goal you have for your writing or assignment and then I will read through the document and leave comments on questions or possible improvements that can be made. It is my goal to support you, not take away from the voice you already have in your writing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 4 years of experience in writing consulting services. I work with students from the levels of high school-graduate/doctoral degree levels across a wide range of subject disciplines.
I have one year of experience in reading tutoring. I am trained to help students with learning disabilities, such as dyslexia and students of any level of reading skill.
