Based in Ridgely, MD, I specialize in personalized educational support tailored to each student's unique learning needs. With a primary focus on speech and debate, as well as reading, writing, and test preparation, I aim to empower students to achieve academic success and bolster their confidence. So often, people think they can’t learn to speak publicly or get a fantastic SAT score, but you absolutely can! My one-on-one tutoring approach ensures that each learner receives the dedicated attention they deserve, fostering a supportive and effective learning environment. As a homeschooled student, Joseph (Joey) Collins learned to learn effectively from a young age. His love of learning has led him to become a much-awarded speech and debate student, to attain a >95th percentile SAT, to sustain a perfect college GPA, to teach himself Norwegian, and, most recently be a featured student on his university’s magazine and be on the front cover of another of his college’s magazines. Joey is now pursuing a degree in Law, but has enjoyed teaching speech and debate for the last three years, where he has had the opportunity to teach and tutor everyone from 6th grade to adults. He loves to cook, perform magic, learn languages, and spend time with the love of his life, Rosalind.
