My name is LaTonia, and I am a certified Reading Specialist with a Master’s degree in Education, licensed in Virginia and Maryland. I am also a current high school teacher with 20 years of extensive experience supporting learners at every level—from elementary and middle school students to high school scholars and adult learners, including teachers whom I have trained and coached.

With over a decade of experience in reading instruction, writing development, and ESL/ELL support, I specialize in helping students strengthen foundational literacy skills, improve reading comprehension, develop clear and confident writing, and build the academic habits they need to thrive. Whether struggling with decoding, vocabulary, fluency, essay structure, or overall confidence, I meet learners exactly where they are and guide them forward with patience, expertise, and customized instruction.

All of my tutoring services are 100% virtual, making high-quality literacy support accessible, flexible, and convenient for today’s busy families.
