Hi! My name is Valeria (or Vale), and I am a 20 year old student currently studying at American University. Throught the past few years, I have tutored peers informally in both high school and college. Aditionally, I also have experience teaching english in a classroom environment for two years, as part of a community service program known as RISE back in my home country, Panama. I am also fluent in both Spanish and English, which gives me the opportunity to tutor all Spanish levels and all subjects of the language.
From the students I have tutored multiple times, all have shown significant improvement in their Spanish grades, so while I may not have a certification, I have lots of experience which will make this very easy for me. I am also very patient with students, as I understand learning a new language can be difficult. I will do all I can to make the sessions as interactive as possible, so the student can practice and reinforce topics that are difficult for them.
