About this tutor

I have been a substitute teacher since 2000 in Washington, DC.  Also I have been a reading tutor part-time for the past  3 years.  I have taught students in their home and for a fifth grade class with on-line school in Chicago some years ago.   I am skilled, patient, caring, and interested in helping you attain your goals.

I have a certificate in Piano Theory, 101, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies, and a Master of Arts Degree     in Religious Studies.   These courses enrich one's  comprehension skills since the college professor requires the class to write 5 pages on a specific topic.

I am available to assist you if you are interested in my tutoring services.

Best regards,

Tricia, Tutoring Service

As a former reading tutor to my son in the 5th grade, Ms. Davis was a great benefit to my son in improving his grade. After completing the tutoring session he was promoted to the 6th grade.

  • Sis. Pansy Wells

As an assistant teacher I observed her style of expounding on the reading of the lessons to the other adult students in the class in a clear, concise manner.

I am the principal at IDEA PCS. As a reading tutor for various classes at IDEA PCS, Patricia Davis performed in an excellent manner tutoring and reviewing the student’s work assignments.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

As the tutor I discuss the needs of the student and I review their requests then determine how best I can meet their tutoring needs.  In on-line tutoring I would use Skype for home visits I would bring my books on reading and reading comprehension.
