Using a blend of standard learning and modern technology, students at {AC-a-d'AM'ic} K-12 are engaged with each tutor and are constantly discovering creative ways to master content!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
{AC-a-d'AM'ic}'s mission is centered around teaching the whole person and meeting them where they are socially, emotionally, and academically. We specialize in building trust and relationships with each client so that they feel comfortable learning. We create a safe space that encourages mistakes to be made, as mistakes are learning opportunities that helps drive the understanding of a specific concept or situation.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Founder of {AC-a-d'AM'ic} K-12 Tutoring, Amber Campbell (known as 'AC' or 'Am'), is a former teacher and education advocate. Amber currently works in the field of Education Technology, specifically focused on providing and improving professional development for teachers in addition to owning her own boutique tutoring company.

How did you get started teaching?
Amber started her career as a teacher in 2010, however she provided volunteer tutoring services long before that. She is a true scholar and lover of education and learning. She began as a Pre-K 3 Paraprofessional and then within a year was the lead teacher in a first grade classroom. Amber has gone on to teach grades K-8, start technology programs at various public and private schools, as well as provide tutoring services that help identify student's strengths in learning and comprehension.
What types of students have you worked with?
We work with grades K-12, as well as adults seeking services in remedial areas. We work with special education students, autism, general education, TAG, AP, etc.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the tutor/teacher loves what they do! Also, know that it is ok to make mistakes, as that is a perfect way to learn something new.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should think through their learning style preference and try to identify multiple pathways of learning a subject matter so that they can best understand content a manner that works specifically for them.
