About
I’m Dr. Christopher Fici, an educator, researcher, and storyteller with over a decade of experience teaching in high school, college, and community settings. I hold a Ph.D. in Religion and Ecology from Union Theological Seminary, where my work focused on “anticipatory community”—how people build resilience, meaning, and justice in the face of climate and social challenges. I’ve taught courses ranging from world religions and environmental ethics to food justice and community leadership, always creating spaces where learning is conversational, collaborative, and connected to real-life issues. Students can expect my classes to be interactive, curiosity-driven, and designed to help them see the bigger picture behind what they’re studying.
I love helping students develop their own voice, confidence, and critical thinking skills while also building practical tools they can use in their own communities. My teaching stands out because I blend deep subject knowledge with accessible explanations, multimedia resources, and hands-on learning—from classroom discussions to community-based projects. Whether we’re exploring a text, mapping out ideas visually, or connecting concepts to current events, I meet students where they are and help them grow from there. I’m committed to creating a supportive, inclusive space where students feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
