My name is Tristan and I attended Carleton College, a top liberal arts school in Minnesota, where I majored in computer science, minored in cognitive science, and also took a multitude of math courses, including linear algebra and multivariable calculus. I am currently a software engineer, working on Comcast's natural language processing technology, including building their voice remote software. I work with Java and Python every day.
I am easy to reach and will respond quickly! Please contact me if you have any further questions for me or if you would like to schedule a lesson!
I love solving challenging math and logic problems, and tutoring is an opportunity for me to share my excitement with students. My favorite courses in college were the ones with professors who clearly loved what they were teaching, and who focused on making class both enjoyable and informative. I scored perfectly on the mathematics sections of both the SAT and the ACT and I delight in sharing my knowledge and passion with my students and helping them to become the best mathematicians and computer scientists they can be! I have a long history of working with students of all ages; I was a math tutor in high school, a camp counselor at a middle school/high school music camp, and a visiting teacher at an elementary school.
