I have been an avid photographer for 20 years. I love everything about photography, and have experience in almost every genre--from portraiture to nature photography. I can help students learn the fundamentals of good photography, from lighting and depth of field to post-production. Whether students want to take portraits, landscapes, or wildlife, I can help them develop the essential skills to do their best work.
I love the editing process as much as the actual photography itself. I love to liven the color and detail of the pictures I take. And I enjoy helping others discover the various tools they can use to create stellar images. I also enjoy teaching the fundamentals that they can build on to hone their abilities.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I ask about their goals and knowledge about photography. Based on their responses, I develop a step-by-step plan for them to develop the necessary skills to capture and edit the types of photographs they want to produce.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've taken a variety of photography courses over the last two decades, and have some professional experience in graphic design.

Look for someone who doesn't just provide one-size-fits-all training but can tailor the instruction to your individual goals and needs.
