I want students to realize the importance of being multilingual and the role it can play in their lives.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I would begin by assessing the student's needs and goals. These may include short-term goals such as projects and tests as well as long-term goals such as communicative abilities to help grow careers.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I developed a Preschool French language program. I was also a middle school French teacher for five years.

How did you get started teaching?
I have always loved being in the classroom, both as a student and a teacher. Learning French was difficult for me in the beginning, and I certainly could have benefited from a tutor! I taught middle school for five years and have also led high school summer study abroad programs for five years. I am a PhD student studying International Education and Educational Psychology.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a variety of students, including gifted students as well as students with special needs. Every student has great potential!
