What is your typical process for working with a new student?
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from one of the most prestigious French schools in Haiti (Collège Saint François d’Assise). At a very young age I started teaching French to foreign children and adults back home which gave me the opportunity to continue the same work when I moved to the US.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes $35 per session which will be 30-45 minutes, however pricing is not something that comes naturally to me, there's a tons of decisions that I have to make throughout the process such as: choosing my topics and finding the right teaching techniques.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching French to Children at a Camp, and I also had a few sessions with 5 adults at a time in Haiti.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students between the age of six and seventeen and adults between the age of eighteen and twenty-five.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I had a 7 year old girl who wrote a letter in French to her mom in Canada and it was perfectly written.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The advice I will give to a student that is looking to hire a teacher in my area of expertise is to always make sure to look for a teacher that is very understanding and patient.
