What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually prefer to begin by common phrases and things that you most like say while in a fracophone country. Then if you want to learn more advance things, I will be glad to help.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend the French International School in Bethesda, MD, so I understand 90% of the language.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I will charge 25$/hour for all sessions no matter what the student wants to learn.
If the student is under the age of 13 I will charge 17$/hour
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching when a friend of mine was struggling in their French class and I offered to help them once a week. Their grade boosted tremendously and that's when I realized I could teach French as a side hussle.
What types of students have you worked with?
Younger Students who usually have trouble in their french classes. (ages 11-19)
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently started signign up for jobs like this for I believe that it is an easy way to make money while also helping people learn such a great language.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would advise getting a teacher who is from a country that speak french and not a teacher that also learned the language from a teacher, for I believe it lacks authenticity of native French.
