Hello! My name is Ethan and my specialty is organic chemistry. I've been tutoring for the past 5 years, with a focus on both introductory and advanced organic chemistry. I am near the Bethesda area and willing to travel anywhere metro accessible. I enjoy working with students who are passionate about learning, and want to help young, prospering students develop their academic abilities!
I enjoy helping students understand unfamiliar concepts, particularly the "light bulb moment" when they finally understand something they've been working on for a while.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Asking them a few questions about themselves to understand what they hope to gain from tutoring, and gauging what their best learning style is in order to help them achieve their goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a double bachelor's degree in chemistry and biology, as well as many years experience tutoring both high schools students in SAT and related subjects. As an upperclassmen in undergraduate, I worked through my university's tutoring center to tutor students in entry level college courses.
