About

Hey there!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my tutoring profile. I am experienced with working with students of all ages, from preschool to college. I am comfortable tutoring in a variety of subjects, but I have the most experience with teaching and tutoring math, English, finance and and law.

Below, you will find information about my qualifications, experience and credentials, but I would like you to know, as a student of mine, how important your success is to me as a teacher. I create individualized plans for all my students - I understand that no two students are alike, and there is no "cookie cutter" techniques that work for each and every student. This is part of my commitment to you, the student, and my commitment to be 100% dedicated to you and your success. I am also available round-the-clock. I typically collect as much information possible before the initial training session, so that we can really hit the ground running for our first official session, and I am always available between sessions to provide updates, answer questions, or give progress reports, which I complimentary produce for my students and families, if you would like those.

I am happy to "follow the lead" of the student because, after all, I am here to help you! My goal is to help you succeed, so however we do that, no matter how creative and "out-of-the box" it gets, is up to you!

I grew up in Connecticut, graduated from Waterford High School in 2008, and graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies, with a concentration in Early Childhood Education and Mathematics Education.

In high school, I worked as a private mathematics tutor for several middle school students.

In college, I continued to tutor several middle and high school students in mathematics and language arts. I also worked as a lead preschool teacher at a local preschool, and I completed my student teaching at the Child Development Labs at the University of Connecticut.

After graduating college, I was immediately immediately hired as a Controller by a small local litigation firm, where I spent the next five years, managing the finance department and the HR department, and helping the company to grow from one office with six employees, to a company with national presence, with three offices across the country and over 40 employees.

In the past eight years, I have been blessed with five beautiful children, and I have been lucky enough to still be working with students and families.

I currently have five local middle school students and four local high school students that I tutor both in person and online.

I currently offer tutoring in all areas, but I specialize in several areas, including math, English, business, business law, accounting and finance. As I mentioned earlier, I have experience with all subjects and ages, but I have experience with all abilities as well, including, but not limited to, students with ADHD/ADD, autism, dyslexia, and OCD.

If you feel like we could be a good match and become a great team, if you would like to get started, or if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out! I am available 24-7-365 to my students and families.

I sincerely hope that we get the opportunity to work together!

Best,

Ashley

I love helping students reach their full potential.
