About
I am a specialist in Communication and Language Skills. I have been in business for 12 years but I have worked in schools for 29 years. My work is highly individualized to suit the needs of my students. I enjoy my work tremendously and love seeing my students achieve their goals. I have a B.S from Emerson College and a M.S. from the University of R.I. I am also certified by the American Speech and Language Association. My passion is helping people achieve success in their studies and become excellent communicators.
I enjoy meeting new people and helping them succeed with their studies.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I connect with the student to discover where their needs are and assess their goals for learnig. Next I make some outlines and lesson plans for each of my sessions to use the time most efficiently. It may involve sharing screens for learning, writing on google docs, using graphic organizors for thoughts, and scanning materials for use on the screen.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked in school systems for 28 years and have taken many professional development classes. I have worked with K-12 age groups. I have a special certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association. I am also a certified teacher.
