Ms. Clymer

Hi! I'm Ms. Clymer, a certified fourth-year teacher in Norwalk, CT. While I am currently an 8th grade ELA teacher, I have experience teaching grades 7 through 12, including AP Language & Composition. I believe that reading and writing should be an enjoyable experience, and pride myself on my ability to find texts that even the most stubborn students enjoy! Learning should be fun, which is why I try to incorporate relevant, engaging material into my lessons. One of my favorite units to teach is Argumentative Writing as it allows students to focus on their own thinking as they form opinions on tough- and silly- topics. My goal as a tutor is to not only provide students with the extra help and attention they need for success, but to also encourage students to find connections between the classroom and the world around them.
