V. Rai Tutoring

Hello!

My name is V. Rai and I am an MHC with two Master’s of Science degrees in Applied Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am also a 4th year doctoral candidate in a Clinical Psychology program with about ten years in the mental health field.

I have an extensive background in psychological theory with various trainings in several orientations (including psychodynamic theories, second and third wave CBT orientations including DBT and ACT, and family systems). I also have experience in abnormal psychology, developmental psychology, crisis intervention, and clinical and counseling psychology.

Furthermore, I am currently an Adjunct Professor for first year doctoral candidates teaching neuropsychological assessments for adults and children (and have a rating of 4.9 out of 5 in my professional reviews!).

I have a passion for teaching the next generation of clinicians in the field, and approach teaching in the same way that I intervene on a therapeutic level: by assessing needs and goals and catering to each individual.
