I use a structured reading system. I have been a special education teacher for 20+ years. Have a masters degree in reading and 6th year degree in educational leadership.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I talk to the individual to get an idea of there reading interest. I am also able to complete a simple assessment to gather a specific reading level. I will then do a combination of structure reading to build decoding/fluency skills with guided reading to develop more comprehension/vocabulary skills.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
1. I have a Bacholor of Science in Special Education with a minor in Reading and Mathematics.
2. I also have a Master as a Reading Specialist.
3. I finished my education with a 6th year degree in Educational Leadership.

$30.00 per session. A session is 3O minutes.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started in teaching after I became disabled. I am a paraplegic was trying to become an engineer. However, upon returning to school, I knew it wasn't for me. So I decided to take an educational related course and fell in love with working with kids.
