Yaggi Tutoring

I am a recent graduate of Washington University in St Louis where I majored in Biochemistry where I earned Phi Beta Kappa and College Honors. Although I am a recent graduate, I have over three years worth of experience tutoring chemistry at both the college and high school level. I have served as a large group leader, an academic mentor, and a one-on-one chemistry tutor. I have experience working with students with a large variety of learning differences including anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD.

Throughout college, tutoring was always my favorite activity. I love explaining concepts to students in different ways and seeing them smile when they finally start to understand a difficult subject. It feels amazing to have students who were scared of science topics gain confidence that they can succeed in their courses. I also love to learn new ways of thinking about and approaching problems from my students. Quite often, a student will use an entirely different method or concept to answer a question than I would. It is awesome to see science from a different perspective with each student that I tutor.
