Éxito Spanish Tutoring
About
I have a passion for teaching and helping students learn and develop. I recently graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelors of Science in Secondary Spanish Education. I have studied Spanish my whole education experience and aim to be a Spanish teacher. I love working with children to develop their skills and knowledge of the Spanish language. When teaching in the classroom, I was able to create and teach my own lessons. Since I am a recent grad, I am looking for more experience to develop my craft.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process for working with a new student is to first begin with getting to know the student and having the student get to know me. For the first day, I will speak in English with the student in order to introduce ourselves. I will also take this time for the student to comfortably go over what he/she need to focus on while working with me. Therefore, I can develop a plan for them in order to sufficiently help them. In order to grasp how much of the language they know I will give the student a little assignment just for me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to the University of Connecticut and studied Secondary Spanish Language at the NEAG school of Education.
How did you get started teaching?
In high school, I would help my brother with his homework, and thats where I developed my patience for students. I also tutored underprivileged students in my first year of college. Since I recently graduated UConn, I just finished my student teaching semester, therefore gaining teaching experience in the classroom.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a teacher who you are comfortable with and is willing to work with you and for you in order to achieve your goals.
