Spanish Classes By Mr. Garcia
About
Hi! My name is Ángel García and I graduated in English Grammar and Literature at the University of Seville, Spain. The fascination with the linguistic differences between English and Spanish languages and cultures makes me hold a Master’s Degree in Audiovisual Translation (Subtitling and Dubbing.) Due to this acquaintance of another language, I decided to increase my teaching abilities and I obtained the Postgraduate Certificate in Education in Seville.
I have been teaching and tutoring Spanish in New Haven for the last 6 years. I have experience in teaching all levels of Spanish as a second language and as a first language to native speakers.
My teaching methodology to individual student needs, the lessons based on goals and outcomes, and my passion for teaching will help you to achieve your goals.
¡Hasta pronto!
Angel.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Although every curriculum is, somehow, determined by student requirements, I like using the resources of Instituto Cervantes that bases their materials on the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages as a guideline to describe achievements of learners of foreign languages. Once I know the level of the student, I adjust this level to this guideline. Thus, it is easier to assess student’s learning development.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Regarding my background, I obtained my B. A. Degree in English Grammar and Literature and my Master’s Degree in Audiovisual Translation (Subtitling and Dubbing) at the University of Seville, Spain. I like translation and I have also been working as a translator from English into Spanish.
