About
Hi, I'm Cameron, and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Stony Brook University on the pre-medical track. My academic journey has been marked by active engagement in both the sciences and the humanities, as evidenced by my selection to the Dean's List through every academic semester and my involvement with campus publications (The Statesman, Brooklogue) and community-oriented clubs like SBU Music and Medicine, and Medicine sans Frontières.
In college (and even a bit before then), my best help was and are tutors, teaching assistants, and any others who knew a thing or two about whatever I was grappling with. Being able to build not only my foundation but also my interest in certain classes and subjects outside of the designated teaching time aided me immensely in being the student I am today. I see tutors as a liaison between teachers and students, helping foster the growth to continue a student's performance and interest in a class. I hope to be that liaison, helping my student not only improve in the class but as an overall academic!
I have over a year of experience in music tutoring (piano, guitar), teaching students aged four to 15 -- a wide variety. These were one-on-one sessions, but I also had the chance to lead music teaching programs for close to eight or more students around the same age range. I have brief tutoring experience in Mathematics (Algebra 1 and 2) as well as Elementary English, in a one-on-one setting. I am now an Organic Chemistry Teaching Assistant at my university, teaching over 700 students.
I am currently only available to tutor online, so I don't mind any location arrangements! I am more than willing to take on any resources or comments, questions, and concerns parents may have to be the best tutor possible. I am easy to reach and will get back to you as soon as possible, feel free to contact me or schedule a lesson!
