I realized i was fighting a losing battle because if these children didn't have the ways and means to take care of themselves in society, they would stay stuck. Education seemed to be a way up and out but so many students were turned off by school. i decided to get my masters in spec.ed., get certified in sp. ed. and soc. studies. and use my counseling skills and education to become a teacher to the students i was counseling.
