I have 30 years of experience as a literacy specialist and classroom teacher. My extensive training includes; The Science of Reading, Executive Functions, ADHD, Dyslexia, twice-exceptional and more. My passion is learning about SWI (Structured Word Inquiry) which proves our English language is not irregular as we have all incorrectly been taught (and children are still being told), but rather is based on meaning and structure. I will use terminology your child will be learning in the classroom, yet I will provide him/her with an understanding of why the words have certain spellings.
