Quantum Jump Tutoring
About
A tutor can be a teacher, a friend, or a coach. Or a combination of all three. I encourage my students, helping to boost their confidence but not allowing them to slack off. I've helped students increase their SAT scores by 180 points, and others, their ACT scores by 6 points. In academic subjects, I've helped students increase their confidence and scores for math and physics. One of my recent math students went from a C+, before working with me, to a solid A, by the end of the semester.
I love helping students grow and gain confidence in their own abilities. Math and physics are looked upon as mountains that it takes skill to climb. The same way as achieving the SAT or ACT score needed to gain admission to a dream school. Just like a real mountain, people often need a guide. To help someone reach a level they never thought they could is a privilege and honor. I love celebrating their victories.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I send them a practice test, then we do a free 30 minute assessment to determine their weak spots. I customize a plan for each student. Then we decide on how often we meet. I do package deals, which works best, when preparing for a test such as the SAT or ACT.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've private tutored for over 15 years, working with students of all backgrounds. Studying science gave me the tools that helped me learn patience, focus and attention to detail. In addition, I have taken both the SAT and ACT exams and know the differences and similarities between them.
