About
Acquiring technical skill can be intimidating and, at times, daunting. I personally believe in engaging the right brain in a way that enhances the mind-body connection. With a background in fine art as well as art therapy, I merge the teaching of fine motor skills and technique with fresh perspective and an opportunity to play through creative expression.
I currently hold a Bachelor's Degree in Painting and Drawing and am actively working towards a Master's in Art Therapy.
Art has a beautiful way of releasing tension and anxiety from the body. The process of creating is an empowering one that fosters healing, mental well-being, as well as provides an opportunity for deeper self-awareness and strengthening self-esteem.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My therapeautic background has reinforced the importance of meeting people where they're at. Initially, I begin with assessing a student's basic knowledge of materials accessible to them, level of technical skill, as well as what components of the artistic process are most exciting to them. I believe that learning is most effective when a student is able to apply a personal passion to the criteria being explored.
