About
My tutoring approach is adapted to each individual student, maximizing their learning potential. Through my experience with personal education, I have learned the best ways to tutor around learning disabilities and ADHD. The approach I use is presenting material in the form of questions, guiding students to an understanding. Students not only learn material better this way, but grasp an understand that they will remember better.
I am currently a Civil Engineering student at Colorado State University, with experience in all courses under differential equations. I started my tutoring job in 2017 through the AVID progam, through which I was trained to tutor successfully. I have continued my tutoring through this year, and would love to keep it going.
From experience, I understand that not all teachers have the time to meet each student individual needs. I firmly believe that each student has the potential to learn anything, they just need someone to help them see their potential.
Tutoring for me is all about getting to know the individual student and finding a method of teaching specified for them. Being able to help students find their unrecognized potential and seeing them reach the "ah ha" moment, make every bit of teaching worthwhile.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first step in my tutoring process is getting to know the student and how they learn, usually through simply questions. Setting goals is a huge part of my process, as it gives a timeline and sense of achievement. I use various ways of teaching including practice problems, practice tests, asking questions, and visual representation.
