Julieta Spanish Tutoring
About
I started as a Spanish tutor at the University of Colorado Denver and have over 2 years of experience working with students of all levels. I have mostly worked with advanced and adult students, but also enjoy working with kids! I always prepare my lessons accordingly to the student-specific needs. I personally know the process of learning a new language and also use my own experiences to help other students learn the language. I know how it is to want to learn a language and feel frustrated, I can also help you overcome this feeling. I don't like the traditional learning system, I like to go beyond and explore new ways to help my students to not only write the language but actually speak it!
There are several things I enjoy about tutoring students. I like to integrate them not only to the language but to a whole culture. I have always believed that learning a language is like learning about a new world and all that it is involved in it. Food, music, social issues, traditions, religion, and so much more. This is something I enjoy a lot because it gives me the opportunity to introduce my culture to others from a real perspective. I also like to learn from my students and like to make them speak about this different aspects in the new language. Besides this what makes me the happiest is to see my students improvement. This is the part I enjoy the most!
