What is your typical process for working with a new student?
In person:
We speak on the phone to arrange a place to meet outdoors and discuss what specific subject we will be studying. I prepare a lesson. We meet and work through the lesson and/or homework, quiz or review.
On line:
(1) Student sends me scans of homework and/or textbook pages; (2) We arrange a time to meet via Zoom, Skype, Facetime; (3) I prepare a lesson; (4) We spend time together working through my lesson and the homework or practice test problems.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Former Professor at Ewha Woman's University, Seoul Korea. I've a Ph.D. from Yale, and a B.A. from U.C. Berkeley. I taugh at a private school right out of college and have been tutoring students one-on-one for years.
