Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always start with a trial and consultation (60 minutes free of charge), to explore a service of interest and talk with families about everything from academic progress and needs to social and emotional development. I look at IEP's and educational testing as needed and give a recommendation on continued work together. I take into account each family's logistical needs related to travel, academic resources, structure and communication and tailor my work to meet their needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA and MA in education, a current teaching license in CO in elementary education and a K-12 license as a linguistically and culturally diverse bilingual education specialist. I have undergone special education and bilingual education trainings in and out of the public school environment. I am also trained in common core standards K-12.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I have packages tailored to K-8, Grades 9-11 and High School Seniors that focus on fostering students' passions and rigorous college-readiness skill development. I also work with families hourly and search for tutoring/college counseling scholarships for families that make up a $75,000 with one defendant and at their manager thousand dollars for 2 or more dependents.
