History Tutoring
About
Hello! I am a current undergraduate student working on my Bachelor's in European History, but I have been a total history buff for as long as I can remember. I am primarily a European historian, and have been to 10 European countries before my 21st birthday!
However I also love American history, as well as other parts of World History depending on the topic. My speciality and passion is and has always been the 19th and 20th centuries, namely the World Wars, their context, and their aftermath, though here too my knowledge extends well beyond this range.

History is the most important subject a person can learn, but to most students it is the most boring and difficult course they take in school. For this reason, I have tried to make it a more interactive, engaging, and fun subject for everyone I talk to. When I see the smiles on people's faces as they piece together the stories of the past, I know I've done my job, connecting our past to the present, for all of us in the future.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always make sure I will be able to help you with your questions and needs first and foremost. There's no need to waste any time if I'm not the one best suited to help you! After this, I am very easygoing. Being a college student myself, I know how stressful school, tutors, and teachers can be, so I like to be able to help in whatever ways you, the student, need. I always needed new and innovative ways to teach myself things, so I don't expect everyone to learn the same way!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked for several years as a guide for student groups at an air and space museum, and have interacted with countless people of all ages in my travels who have made me a better educator. I'm not a teacher, nor do I expect to be in the future. I prefer interactive teaching, whether it be in a museum or across the ocean in the field, so if you're looking for a new, different view on the subject, I'm your guy!
