Brian Hess Literature/Writing Tutoring

I am a high-school English teacher and private tutor (essay writing, creative writing, ACT/SAT prep) with strong inter-personal skills -- I enjoy making connections with my students and relating to them, even in one-on-one or remote settings. I've found that relatability and connection go a long way in collaborative work such as teaching and tutoring.

I enjoy working closely with students to help them see things in new ways; to work with them to develop a new skill, or to turn a weakness into a strength; to improve upon their analytical skills; and to create meaningful relationships in the lives of young people.
