I really love the biological/biomedical sciences! So much so that I recently completed my Masters degree in Biomedical Science, which emphasized fundamental concepts applied to case-study styled analysis. I also previously worked in a cancer research laboratory, and currently work in a medical laboratory, so I am familar with the methods that scientific discovery rests upon. I tutor through other tutoring companies, and have also tutored individually while I attended school. I also taught extensively while I was in military. I really enjoy talking about living systems - the complexity of life is really an inexhaustible subject!
When I tutor other students, I like to lay out the fundamental information, assumptions, and concepts which apply to the problem. This provides context for reasoning through the problem. I find that learning which builds on and draws from fundamental ideas to arrive at an answer is really useful not only for finding the answer, but also for learning how to reason and think through a biological/biomedical lens.
