About
I have a bachelor's degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Colorado- Boulder. I have been working in research and industry for almost 10 years. I am published and have more publications in progress. I currently work at the University of Colorado- Colorado Springs in the Biology department as a research technician and lab instructor.
My teaching experience is with students 18+ as a lab instructor with the University of Colorado and English as a second language instructor with the Pikes Peak Public Library District years ago, but I am looking to branch out and teach younger students. My goals as a tutor are to foster an interest in science and help struggling students actually understand material and succeed in classes. I will tailor my tutoring to each individual student to address their particular needs, and parents are welcome to be as involved as they want.
