Mara McMann

Some of my job titles over the years have included "teacher", "tutor", "coach", and "mentor". I think this last one is my favorite because it encompasses the fact that I want you to succeed and can be a useful support system towards that! I've always loved learning and early on that translated into teaching as well. I have two years worth of college level coursework in Education and my degree in Biology and Psychology. I have over 10 years of tutoring experience and have worked with students from pre-K all the way to college. I am passionate about animals and the environment and am currently pursuing my post-bachelors certificate in Zoology! I also have a love for astronomy, geology, and art history.

My lesson plans are totally up to YOU! I typically like to have one session to "map out" our game plan and your goals to get to where you want to be in the class. That could mean you bringing your homework and me helping or me bringing materials that help support the concepts you are learning about! Whatever works for you and your success. I've worked with students of all ages and the important thing to me is that you know I really care and want you to be successful! I am comfortable in a large range of subjects K-12 and college courses including Biology, English, and History.
