Journey Of A Wild Woman
About
As, a retired zookeeper, I have over 20 years of experience in the animal field. Over those years I cared for dozens of animals and different species. My time there was not just dedicated to the animals I cared for but also to the people I educated, and mentored. With the degrees and the internships I acquired, I dedicated myself to this career. Apart from the understanding of certain sciences, I also have gained a sort of kinesthetic wisdom through my hands on experience. As a keeper you During my 20 years as a keeper I was involved in educating the public, guided volunteers, taught/educated shadows, school classes, camps, and I mentored teenage and adult interns. I take a more vulnerable and authentic approach when interacting with others. This helps promote assurance and comfort in others. With a welcoming environment and my style of teaching I am able to strengthen engagement from my students. I create a safe space and a sense of belonging. My style promotes learning through my authenticity, experiences, and knowledge I gained as a zookeeper. Over my career I developed and shaped this method and found that promoting confidence in my students was the platform for success.
