Elliot Field

Hi, my name is Elliot Field! I’m a junior in high school with almost four years of tutoring experience. I began with teaching my little brother how to read, but I have really come to enjoy working with kids of all ages. I absolutely adore reading and writing; As someone who grew up doing the science fair and is now conducting independent research in water quality, seeing kids express interest in that pathway is really inspiring to me. Not only do value adding to my tutoring and babysitting experience, but it also helps me reinforce concepts that I’ve previously learned! As a military kid, I’m usually new in the area, so I don’t have the privilege of using of using community connections to find teaching opportunities, so I thought I’d give tutors.com a try. I personally am a visual learner, so I work best with those, but I love breaking things down into smaller concepts verbally, too. I love accepting and integrating feedback from both students and parents, which I have lots of experience in after years of being a summer camp and American Red Cross volunteer. I know how important it is to feel confident in your knowledge, which is my main goal when I work with someone. I’m looking forward to help students with whatever I can!
