Teresa's Tutoring
About
I have been teaching for about 25 years and I still absolutely love my job! It is so rewarding to help students to reach their greatest potential!
As a special education teacher, I love helping students to figure out how they learn best and help them to believe in themselves. Helping a student learn a new concept or skill is very rewarding.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first step is to get to know the student. I think it is important to know a student's strengths and areas of growth. Once I know a little about the student, then I need to learn their instructional levels and areas of growth.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a middle school special education teacher for the past 25 years.
How did you get started teaching?
I can't remember a time when I didn't want to be a teacher. Prior to teaching, I volunteered at summer camps and also worked as a para educator.
What types of students have you worked with?
I typically work with students who are struggling in reading and math, but I am also able to work with students who are struggling to keep up with their work because of remote learning.
