About
I have worked as a Paraprofessional at a Colorado Springs District 20 Middle School in the Special Education department. I worked with children with autism, communication disorders, and learning disabilities often. I am currently enrolled at CSU as a freshman majoring in applied physics.
I scored 32 on the ACT and currently have a college GPA of 3.9.
I offer tutoring services for test prep, programming, math, language arts, and science for all grade levels.
I love working with funny, unique, goofy kids who make me laugh. I also greatly enjoy figuring out the best way to break down complicated ideas into simple and easy to understand steps.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first step is to talk about what the goal of the tutoring is, what content areas we're going to cover, and what expectations will be set for the first few sessions. I prefer to have the student show me examples of their homework or other past work so I can pinpoint where they're at and what they may be struggling with.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have experience tutoring my younger family members, including families members with disabilities. I also have experience working directly in a low to moderate needs special ed autism classroom as a paraprofessional.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Standard pricing is 30 dollars per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
As a teen, I assisted in the homeschool education of my younger brother after his schizophrenia diagnosis made public school difficult for him. I began working officially as a paraprofessional in 2021 before leaving to continue my own education in physics.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have mainly worked with students from grades 6 to 8 who are at grade level or behind grade level and require assistance catching up. I have worked with students with schizophrenia, autism, ADHD, and low verbal comprehension. I also have some experience in a 3rd grade general ed classroom.
