I love encouraging students to accept challenging placed in front of them. I see the student for who they are and help them work through the subject they need help in by having fun and learning in a way that makes sense to the specific student. It's all about the connection and relationship in order to get the learning through to the student!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first thing I do is create a relationship with the student. Find out what their interests are and what their strengths are; use those things to help them learn and become more confident in the content they are learning !
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelors degree : early childhood education
Minor: American Sign Language
certified: gifted learning, dyslexia
How did you get started teaching?
My first experience teaching was substituting while in college. I then taught PreK in a public school for 2 years. Moved out to Colorado and taught 4/5 grade for a year and shifted down to 1/2 grade at the same school for 2 years!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked will all age groups and have taught in a variety of ways to help students understand the content.
