I have over 27 years of teaching experience in Elementary, Middle School, and High School levels. Certified in Colorado to teach ages 5-21 with extensive experience in Special Education, academic testing, informal and formal diagnostic methods.
I love working with students and celebrate their growth and support the idea that we never stop learning.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Meet student and parents, find out which school they attend and learn as much as I can about tutoring needs, design a plan for tutoring based on students age and levels of performance.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
27 years of teaching experience experience, all levels. Certified in state of Colorado. Master's degree in Education.

Attended University of Northern Colorado for Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. University of Colorado UCCS, for Masters degree in Special Ed.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages and abilities.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
AVID training this summer to help support students! I also welcomed my third grandchild into the world this July 2020.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Students should see learning as a lifetime experience and never ever give up or say..."I can't..". Because that is not true.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should know their strengths and weaknesses. Students should ask teachers what they are expected to do, so we have clear goals.
