About
I have a Master of Science in Business Managment degree and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology degree. I work in the Medical Device Industry and have experience in lab settings. I have a passion for all subjects, though, and I love seeing others grow in them as well.
I truly love helping others understand the subjects I care about. It is very rewarding to see other grasp concepts, understand material, and truly learn. I have been tutoring for nearly 10 years, with experience in many age levels and learning abilities.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I appreciate getting to know a student and how they best learn before diving into material. I believe once effective measures of teaching is established, success in information will follow.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have two degrees, both of which lend themself to Biology and Business. I have tutored several over the course of my schooling and my career allows me to continue to learn.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I don't have a standard pricing system, as I am very willing to cater to any needs. I am flexible and willing to work out an approiate system.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching as a volunteer opportunity in high school, and carried on this rewarding passion throughout college and my professional career.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from kindergarden ages to college ages, all with different learning abilities.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Most recently, I had a student improve his grades over the course of a few weeks and was allowed to join the class's end of the year party. It was so fun to see him grow and meet this goal.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My biggest piece of advice to is hire a teacher who is understanding and not judgemental. No question is too silly, and asking all questions is very important. Hiring someone who is willing to take on any question with no judgement is crutial.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should consider how accessible they need a teacher to be, dependent on the amount of help they need, and ask a teacher if their schedule fits theirs. Further, students should ask about a teacher's willingness to provide ad hoc help.
