About
We are proud to announce we were selected as the Best of Tutors.com in 2020!
We're a business of highschool seniors located in the Littleton Area. All of us have been extremely successful in high school, ending with over 4.0 GPAs. We've all taken over 8 AP classes individually and all ended in over the 95th percentile on the SAT. We all have a passion for helping others and would love for you to experience what having a little courage to boost your test scores, organization, and understanding of content can do for your grades! We've been asked by students in our classes to tutor since middle-school and have a great understanding of how highschool is currently working and the stresses/challenges each student faces since we're still in it! One thing our company is going to focus on is that we don't want to make you feel less than or that you're stupid for not understanding something. High school is hard and balancing other commitments, whether that be sports, family commitments, work etc. can be very challenging. Our interest is to help, and maybe even be a friend to you!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first thing we're going to do is get to know you a little bit over social media, etc. The first session is going to be talking about setting goals, in-person introductions, etc. so we can know exactly what we need to do. We'll make a calendar of upcoming tests and projects during this time and start the organization process. Over the next couple of sessions, our tutors will sit and assist with assignments so we can really identify some more problem areas. We'll continue to update our organization of upcoming events. By the end we hope you're comfortable with the topic and know it as well as we do!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our tutors have been very successful in high-school. A couple of us have taken additional classes at the local community college.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Our standard price is $25 dollars a lesson. If there are extenuating circumstances, reach out to us and we can try to find a solution!
How did you get started teaching?
We started getting into teaching others because we noticed that kids who were struggling in our classes started to become increasingly discouraged. We noticed their confidence decrease and they start to say "I'm too stupid for this" or "I'll never get it, what's the point of trying?" We wanted to show our peers that education doesn't have to be a chore and it feels great to understand a hard topic!
What types of students have you worked with?
Most of the students we've worked with have been in the Littleton and Douglas county school districts at a variety of schools. We've worked with all ages of high school students. We've worked with students who are failing every class all the way to students who just need help understanding a single concept in an AP class.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
You have to make sure you like your tutor as a person. It's very hard to learn and connect with someone you wouldn't choose to be friends with outside of the classroom. The more you enjoy yourself while you learn, the quicker it'll come! Also, don't be afraid to reach out and share a major accomplishment with us! We want to celebrate your accomplishments with you!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
We can identify what you're struggling with academically. That's what we're here for and we'll work on that in the first session. We work a little differently. We want you to think through that your struggles with academics are reversible. We want you to not give up hope in yourself yet and have the courage to reach out. Understand why it's been so hard to ask for help and let us!
