Centennial Tutoring
About
I am a 14 year old, an honors student, and a Boy Scout. Unlike other tutors my age, I have a lot of leadership experience through Boy Scouts and I am currently a student in honors geometry, honors Language arts, and Spanish 2, so I'm qualified to teach all of the above subjects for younger grades.
I enjoy tutoring for many reasons. First of all, I get to form a friendship with whoever I'm tutoring and learn leadership skills from working with younger kids. Also, I believe that the best to learn something is to teach it, so not only will I be teaching my students, but I'll also be learning new things myself!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I'll reach out to my student in order to set up a basic schedule and determine qanat specific areas they need help in. Then, I will prepare for our first meeting, which may include refreshing on the area I will be teaching, printing/creating worksheets or activities to help develop my student in that field, and looking over what I will be teaching. Next, we will have the meeting, in which I will spend the session actively helping the student learn, throwing in related activities or games to make it more fun for the student. Afterwards, we will recap what we learned and plan for the next meetings, which will look similar in structure to the first.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have never actually tutored before, however, I have plenty of experience helping my younger sister with homework and schoolwork and as a Boy Scout, I serve as an assistant troop leader and am familiar with working with younger scouts in the troop. I am also in all honors/advanced classes and an avid musician, so I am qualified to teach almost any subject to younger kids.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
In general, my pricing for private tutoring is $25 per hour per person, but the cost is flexible based on the needs of each individual student.
