Yaritza Amaya

After graduating with both a degree in Political Science and French in 2020 I worked abroad in France as an English Language instructor for middle school students. Upon earning that experience I now work as a contracted substitute teacher at a variety of schools across the city. I specialize in English as a second language, social studies, history, and language arts but am very flexible as I am experienced in lesson planning and curriculum building. I am also dedicated to making sure students don’t experience gaps in learning if there’s already a lesson plan in place. I am fluent in French and Spanish and feel more than comfortable communicating with students in either language. My experiences have taught me that not everyone learns the same and it’s important to grasp the style my student would learn best in. I enjoy being able to cater to my student’s individual learning skills so we can have fun learning together!
