Tina's Tutoring

Hello my name it Tina. I am a wife and mom of two girls. I am a Colorado native and have lived here in the metro area for most of life. I am recent graduate of MSU Denver, with a BA with a Major in History and Minor in Early Childhood Education. I have over 25 plus years of experience with children from infants to elementary school in many various forms of childcare settings. I also have experience with middle school and High School students in various other settings.

My love for History started in HS many years ago. I have vast knowledge of American History especially Colorado and Denver history, as well as WWII and Holocaust history are some of my favorite to learn and teach.

I know that I was placed here on earth to work with children. I now want to take my love a of working with children and combine it with helping them to love and learn from history. It is so important that we teach this next generation that History whether it be good or bad, that it is here to understand and learn from.

My qualities that I bring as a person to my teaching are:

I am very patient with my students

I know how to be that friend as well as being a authority figure when need be

I know how encourage and help build self confidence

I know how to help them to problem solve things on their own

I am very understanding and can relate to children on their level.

I know that each child learns differently. I am able to adapt my teaching styles to the needs of each child to help them be successful.

I my current full-time job is a preschool teacher here in the Denver Metro area of a large school district.

I am a member of National Society of Leadership and Success

I am CPR and First Aide trained as well.
