I have tutored Biology at the university level for two years and have served as a supplemental course instructor for two years. I have achieved above the 90th percentile on the MCAT and specialize in studying and testing strategies. I work with students at the highschool level and beyond. My areas of expertise are general biology, biochemistry, and cellular biology. I have also served as a mentor for several years and invest in developing the confidence and independence of my students, besides their academic success.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
With all students, I hold a preliminary assessment for free. It is important that I gauge their learning styles and their academic standing. I additionally inquire on what a student’s academic and long-term goals are to personalize their experience and offer career and/or other advice when relevant.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from university with distinction in public health and health humanities. I’m a published writer and on track to pursuing my career in medicine. I have taken the science pre-requisite courses for medical school and have excelled. Besides tutoring, I am versed in mentoring students interested in going to science-related fields.
