Jayden Johnson
About
Hello! My name is Jayden and I am a senior at Colorado School of Mines studying Engineering Physics. During my time at Mines, I worked for four semesters as an introductory physics teaching assistant, providing classroom aid and homework help for a large number of students. While I was a teaching assistant, I also offered my services as a private tutor for those who needed more personalized instruction. In addition to my formal experiences as a teaching assistant and tutor, I have also provided homework and study help for many friends and family members in subjects such as mathematics (ranging from elementary level all the way to calculus) and introductory chemistry. My studies as a physics major require me to constantly recall even the most fundamental concepts in math and science, so K-12 concepts remain constantly fresh in my mind. As a tutor, I strive to help students understand material in a way that allows them to solve problems independently from the ground up rather than continuing to rely on help throughout the process. By asking frequent questions to gauge understanding, I am able to help students bridge gaps in their knowledge in a way that harbors mastery of material.
