Young Tutors
About
I keep a lot of my old material, which helps immensely when students need extra practice or want to look at more notes on the subject. I also have worked with a variety of students, which has taught me how to be adaptive and cater each tutoring session to the student's needs and learning capabilities. I have been tutoring for six years and have had great successes with my students!
I also work with other tutors to find the perfect match. I take in several factors and set up *free* demo sessions to test out the match chemistry.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually begin by looking through the course syllabus and the materials provided by the student to gain an understanding of what material the student is going over. I then assess the student's understanding of the material by either talking to them or looking at any previous exams. I also go over study techniques depending on the age of the student.
I then look through my list of tutors to find the perfect match. All of our tutors are university-level students that are high-achieving in their fields. Once a match has been determined, we set up a *free* demo session to ensure that it's a perfect fit!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a student at Carnegie Mellon University. I've had training on the SAT, so I have extra materials that could become useful if the student wants a tutor in that area. I also took quite a few AP courses when I was in high school, so I can tutor in a wide variety of subjects.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Price varies depending on the subject/topic
How did you get started teaching?
I started at a very young age. My younger sister has gone through many of the classes that I have taken, so I started my teaching career quite young. I also tutored in high school through the tutoring club. I have since then learned how to adapt to different teaching styles.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students between the ages of 4 and 49 of varying skills/knowledge/studying habits.
