I've been teaching K-12 for more than 15 years and enjoyed seeing them grow academically. I have a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and am currently applying to the med schools. Math and science can be considered difficult subjects to grasp concepts in the beginning. With the little guidance that I provide you, you will enjoy learning in any class and gain self-confidence to do better in the classes.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically, I would ask the student about what his/her major difficulty that he/she is facing with the subject he/she needs help with. It's always best to get to know the root of his/her problem in the beginning, so I can plan an efficient studying plan for him/her. Depending on how well he/she knows about his weakness, I might provide a page-long quiz with several questions to determine his/her level for the subject. Once that's done, I would work with him/her about what he/she mainly covered in her class to make sure that he/she completely understood the main concepts and we will further elaborate with many additional problems to solidify his/her understanding about the concepts.
